Kathryn’s Top Picks: The Avocado House

The Avocado house is the perfect place to stay if you’re looking to take advantage of all Las Vegas has to offer without having to deal with the noise and crowds that you often find on the Strip. You can have the best of both worlds by staying near the Strip in a comfortable and quiet home.

Thing to do: When the High Roller at Caesar’s Palace opened a couple years ago, we immediately headed over with our kids and grandkids. The kids loved the large cabins and the views from the top were incredible! Now they are offering lots of different events! You can check their schedule at www.caesars.com.

Restaurant: One convenient aspect of the Avocado house is the close proximity to so many great areas of town. One of our very favorite places to get take-out is Rachel’s Kitchen. It’s a local cafe that serves breakfast, salads, and sandwiches. It’s tasty and fresh – perfect for a hot day in Vegas!

Outing: Visitors are often surprised at how many fun, family-friendly outings there are in Las Vegas. During the summer we go out on the water at Lake Mead. We usually like to take the sailboat out for a relaxing ride, but when we have grandkids in town, we take the kids  tubing and skiing! Boat rentals are available, learn more at www.boatinglakemead.com.

Property Feature: The beautiful desert landscaping in the backyard makes it a great spot to enjoy a meal outdoors or fire up the grill – and it’s spacious enough to let the kids run and play.

Fall is the perfect time to visit Vegas! Visit Tranquility Vacations to check availability!
