Fall Activities: South Sound

September is here and now is the perfect time to get out and enjoy the beautiful fall weather! Here are some fun activities around the South Sound area this fall:

Through September and October, Outdoor Adventures will be holding guided kayak trips at the Tacoma Nature Center. These excursions will teach you the basics of kayaking and all equipment is provided. If you want to have an exciting evening out and support a great cause, attend the 16th Annual History Rocks: Masquerade for the Museum gala to support the Harbor History Museum. The PenMet annual Scarecrow Festival will be held on October 7th at Sehmel Homestead Park. This event celebrates everything autumn, including music, entertainment, pony rides, hay mazes, and the community scarecrow competition. The 10th Annual Gig Harbor International Film Festival will be held on October 26th-29th. In addition to the viewing of films from all over the world, panel discussions with film makers and parties are also scheduled to complete the experience. The Gig Harbor Downtown Water Alliance invites families to “Trick or Treat in the Harbor” on October 31st between 3:00-6:00 PM.
